Mr. Jacques Guers has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. He has 38 years of experience within IT companies, having acted as President for various companies within Europe and the Emerging Markets. In 2007, Mr. Guers was awarded the title ‘Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur’ for his contribution to the French economy as a member of MEDEF-French Business Confédération, a result of hissignificant involvement in discussions with the French government in relation to improving the economy’s attractiveness for foreign investments.

During his career he was worked in the UK, Middle East and Africa, Eastern Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Latin America, Russia, India and Japan.

Igor Borovikov, Softline’s founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, was born in 1964 in Shuya, a city from the Ivanovo region in Russia. He studied engineering, mathematics and physics at the Moscow State University, where he graduated in 1986, just before coursing a PhD on physics and mathematics, which he finished in 1989, at the same university. Igor is married and has five children. He has many hobbies and passions but he’s mostly interested in sculpture, philosophy and psychology. In 1993, Igor created Softline with a team of just 10 people. Today, more than 25 years later, the company has 6,000 worldwide employees, and operates in over 50 countries around the world, focusing mostly on emerging markets. Softline is a leading international provider of solutions for digital transformation, cloud computing services, information security and related solutions. Thanks to our collaboration with over 6,000 global technology providers, Softline has already helped more than 150,000 small, medium and large organizations. Since its inception, the company has achieved a turnover of US$ 1.8 billion in the fiscal year of 2020, increasing its turnover by an average of 25% per annum over the past 15 years. Softline is currently one of the fastest growing companies in its industry, and in October 2021, the company conducted a successful public offering of its depositary receipts on the London and Moscow stock exchanges.

Mr. Karl Robb has been appointed as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. He has 39 years of experience in the software engineering and IT solutions industries. Mr. Robb began his extensive career in 1982 with the global solutions provider ICL and spent seven years in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Sweden in a variety of roles, including: Business Analyst, Sales, Product Management and Marketing and Major Account Management with EU Governmental Institutions. In 1993, Mr. Robb co-founded Mobile Computing Systems, a mobile enterprise development platform and vertical applications provider in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Italy, which was acquired by the Malaysian telecom operator. In 2001, Mr. Robb co-founded Fathom Technology and served as its CEO until it was acquired by EPAM Systems Europe in 2004. Mr. Robb joined EPAM after the acquisition and served as the Executive Vice President of EPAM Systems Inc. and the President of EPAM Systems Europe until 2015. He continues to serve on the board of directors for EPAM.

Mr. Marc Kasher has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr Kasher is the founder and CEO of Sapiens Advisors, an international consulting company. Mr. Kasher is currently an Independent Director of Kazatomprom. From 1997 to 2015 Mr. Kasher worked at AIG Global Investments, a private equity investor, and was appointed as Managing Director in 2010. Mr. Kasher served as an Independent Director of Luxoft from 2013 to 2019, a digital services technology company listed on the NYSE. Mr. Kasher holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Soviet Studies from Tufts University.

Artem Tarakanov – Global CFO, responsible for the strategic and operational management of finance at Softline. Artem graduated with honours from Moscow State University (named after M.V. Lomonosov) Faculty of Economics in 1997 with a Bachelor of Economics degree, major: financial management. In 1999, he achieved a Master of Science in Economics, major: accounting and financial analysis from Moscow State University, Faculty of Economics. He has been a member of ACCA since 2003. In 2009 he gained an MBA degree from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business. Artem has more than 20 years of professional experience, managing finance for large companies (Daimler, Cadbury, EuroChem, Walgreens Boots Alliance) in the Russian and international markets. Artem has a number of publications on the strategy of value creation for the company. Hobbies: astronomy, history, windsurfing, skiing.

Gareth is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in IT and telecommunications, operating at board level across a range of public and private sector organisations. He is a powerful advocate for responsible corporate governance with in-depth knowledge of designing, implementing and managing effective risk frameworks, ethics and compliance programmes and systems of corporate governance. Gareth has held various positions at BT plc from 2004 to 2020, the most recent being a seven-year tenure as Group Director, Ethics, Compliance and Governance. Gareth has also served as Board Director at BT Law and EE. He has previously held positions at the Department for Work and Pensions, General Motors and Thomas Cook, among others. Gareth is also Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. Gareth has a proven track record in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions and large-scale transformational change programmes. He has a pragmatic and motivational leadership style consistent with delivering excellent results, whilst maintaining an environment based on honesty, trust and professional integrity.

As a global senior executive with decades of international experience in US publicly traded corporations, Tessler brings a wealth of experience to his role at Softline in building diverse, high-performing teams across multiple geographies and functions. Tessler is well-versed in driving results and leading initiatives on a global scale to transform international operations and company-wide functions. Tessler’s last position was Executive Vice President, President of International Operations at Xerox which he held between 2017 and 2020. In this capacity, Tessler played a key role in shaping Xerox’s strategy, while leading operational teams across more than 150 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, the Eurasian countries, and India. During his career at Xerox, Tessler also held several other senior management roles, including Head of Operations in Central and Eastern Europe, Israel and Turkey; President of Xerox’s affiliate in Brazil; COO of Latin America; President of Developing Markets Operations and President of Corporate Operations.

Since 2019, Andrew Morrison has been the Vice President of Softline Global Services responsible for building strategic relationships with vendors, providers and partners. Andrew graduated from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in Engineering. He has over 20 years’ experience in IT and BPO services, leading Global and International business development, portfolio management, sales and supply chain management. From 2009 to 2014, he held executive positions at Xerox Global Services based in the USA, returning to Europe in 2014 to lead the European Services business for Xerox. More recently, he was Non-Executive Director for M4 Managed Services, a cyber security and digital transformation business, working primarily in the UK Public Sector. Andrew is an expert in solution and service development together with implementation in large, mid-size and small companies. He has extensive experience in the Government, Financial, Manufacturing and Commercial sectors in Europe, USA and emerging markets, having led numerous global and international deployments and transformation projects.

Prior to Softline, Vladimir worked for a number of public sector and commercial organizations. After joining Softline in 2007, Vladimir had worked at the conjunction of law and IT developing new Asset Management practice inside the Company. In 2014, Vladimir was tasked to create the Global Legal Department. A repeat winner of awards for the best legal department, Vladimir has been practicing law for more than 20 years. An author of many industry publications and a frequent active participant of industry conferences, he has developed a visible professional position. In his spare time, he is working to further build his strength as a triathlon athlete. A graduate of The Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir now has PhD in Law and is now studying at the Master of Laws (LL.M) program in the King’s College, London. Vladimir also holds the following credentials: International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Lead Auditor in Anti-Bribery Management Systems.

Vladimir has been working in the IT industry for 30 years. Since 1994 he developed business with corporations, partnerships and sales of services in Russia and other CIS countries for Xerox. He was also in charge of setting up the infrastructure for Xerox Eurasia and the implementation of its first large outsourcing projects. One of his key career achievements was the creation of Xerox Eurasia’s team of professionals that became one of the best in the corporation. In 2019 Mr. Lavrov joined Softline Group as Director of the Information Security Department. A graduate of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, Vladimir has an MBA degree and an INSEAD Executive Program certificate.

Maxim’s education was dedicated to economics and business management. In 2000, he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Trade and Economic Institute, receiving a degree in economics specialising in accounting and auditing. In 2010, he graduated from the People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) with honours, receiving an MBA in Business Management. He started working at Softline in 2005, holding the position of the Business Development Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. At that time, the company had already opened branches in Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The business relations of these countries with Russia, and an understanding of the local culture and economy, allowed the company to successfully establish the branches and gain a share in the local markets. Under Maxim’s leadership, new branches were established in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Mongolia (2007), Armenia (2008), and Moldova (2010). Scaling global corporate expertise to new territories and relying on the best local employees and partners has helped Maxim make Softline a leader of the local IT markets. Today, Maxim is in charge of 11 branches located in countries with different cultures and business customs. In every region, the company strives to adapt its solution portfolio, knowledge and expertise to the local background to become the top market player. Achievement of these goals would be impossible without Maxim’s deep market and technology knowledge and unrivalled business acumen. Maksim’s hobbies are reading, music, table tennis and football.

We do not speculate with start-up shares: creating a solid business that attracts investment from market leaders is much more interesting for us.’ Get to know Elena Elena Volotovskaya graduated from the Faculty of Global Economics of the State University of Management in Moscow. In 2006, she became a Ph.D. in Economics and continued her education at California State University, getting an MBA in 2008. Today Elena is an investment guru with many years of experience in the field of M&A. She began her career at Softline as a Director for Institutional Investor Relations, and then founded the Softline Venture Partners Fund. The Fund amount is over USD $20 million, and its portfolio has over 15 projects. The Fund invests in cloud and SaaS, digital marketing, enterprise software, information security and e-commerce. Elena also runs the joint fund of Softline, and the RVC seed fund that makes seed investments in technology projects. Elena not only runs these funds, but also devotes much time to social projects. She is a member of the Presidium of ‘OPORA RUSSIA’, as head of the Committee ‘OPORA RUSSIA’ on information technology. In 2013, Elena received the prestigious Venture Award 2013 in the category Venture Woman of the Year. Elena is married and has two daughters. Sport and reading good books are an indispensable part of her life.
