Get to know Igor
Igor Borovikov graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1986. He continued his academic career with post-graduate studies, followed by a position in the Academy of Sciences from 1989 to 1992, where he earned his Ph.D. and published over 30 scientific papers.
Igor Borovikov founded Softline in 1993. Under Igor's leadership, Softline became a global IT company with branches in 30 countries. Igor’s business administration talent, vision and determination led Softline from scientific software sales to the implementation of comprehensive and innovative IT solutions. Today, thousands of clients entrust Softline with their principal projects. Softline serves both international corporations and ambitious start-ups, industry giants and small businesses, state organisations and private-sector leaders.
In 2010 and 2012, Igor Borovikov was the winner of the Top 25 Best Russian IT Business Leaders ranking. In 2013, he was included in the Top-100 Russian Internet Millionaires by the Firm’s Secret online magazine, and became one of the Top-50 Russian IT Venture Investors. The next year EY named him Entrepreneur of the Year in the field of IT services.
Besides ambitious business initiatives, Igor also participates in a number of important social projects. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Board of the Russian Non-Governmental Organisation for Small and Medium Business OPORA RUSSIA, and head of its IT Committee. In 2015 he was invited into the Digital Economy Development Working Group in APAC operating under the aegis of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) – one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Managing Director, Da Vinci Capital
Dennis Fulling is a Managing Partner of the Da Vinci Capital Group and is responsible for pipeline development, portfolio management and general management. He has over 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector, including 13 years in Russia.
Dennis was previously the CFO of Norilsk Nickel International, as well as holding previous positions as: Group Treasurer of the Renaissance Group, CFO of the Renaissance Capital Group and Renaissance Capital Consumer Finance Bank, Vice President of MasterCard International and Controller/CFO of American Express, Russia. Since 2007, Dennis has led a club of private investors which has realised close to USD $20 million in investments, with a focus on Russian financial services, the Internet and technology companies.
CEO and Managing Partner, Da Vinci Capital
Oleg Jelezko is the CEO and a Managing Partner of the Da Vinci Capital Group and is responsible for investment strategy and group operations. He has over 24 years of investment management, banking and management consulting experience in the United Kingdom, Russia and emerging markets. Currently, Oleg sits on the boards of several Da Vinci Capital portfolio companies – ITinvest, Softline, First Collection Bureau and Alaska Originale.
Prior to founding Da Vinci Capital, he served as Head of the Equity Structured Products Group and Managing Director at Renaissance Capital. Previously Oleg served as a director and COO at Credit Suisse First Boston in London, where he was responsible for Emerging Markets Equities and Derivatives. From 1992 to 1998, he worked as an IT and strategy consultant in Andersen Consulting and McKinsey & Co. in the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and Russia.
Non-Executive Director, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board
Jacques has 38 years of experience with IT companies, having passed through the roles of company President for different European countries, Western Europe as a region and the Emerging Markets region that gave him broad international and multicultural leadership experience.
Currently Jacques runs a family motorbike business in Lille and Valenciennes in France, and he considers this to be one of his biggest passions – he has been driving them for more than 50 years. At the moment, this business is run by his sons in terms of Finance, Sales, Services and Logistics, which leaves him enough time for his cooperation with Softline, providing consulting services based on his exceptional experience.
Other hobbies or ‘passions’ are his large family of five children (three sons and two daughters) and one grandson, sports (rugby and running) and hobbies, such as apiculture and oyster and shrimp farming.
Another interesting fact from Jacques’s biography is that in 2007 he was bestowed the title ‘Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur’ for his Contribution to the French Economy Development because (as member of MEDEF-French Business Confédération) he was significantly involved in discussions and meetings with the French government regarding how to improve the economy’s attractiveness for foreign investments.
In his new role in Softline Jacques will focus on the following responsibilities:

Co-founder and Managing Partner of Almaz Capital, an international venture fund
Alexander Galitsky is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Almaz Capital, an international venture fund based in Portola Valley, California, USA, with offices and representative offices in Berlin (Germany), Kiev (Ukraine) and Moscow (Russia). The fund was backed in 2008 by Cisco Systems, EBRD and IFC. Among the most famous deals of Almaz Capital are Yandex (IPO NASDAQ), QIK (sold to Skype), Sensity Systems (sold to Verizon Communications) and others.
Alexander Galitsky is a well-known innovator, entrepreneur and investor in USA and Europe.
Alexander is the President of the South East Europe Tech Tour which took place in Bucharest (Romania) and Sofia (Bulgaria) in May 2019, as well as the President of the 2018 East Europe Tech Tour, which took place in Warsaw (Poland) and Sofia (Bulgaria). He was honoured numerous times as the most influential person in the Russian IT and Internet industry by Forbes, best GP of 2013 by Venture Awards and EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Russia in 2013. Alexander was nominated as the best venture capitalist of the last decade in Europe in 2012 by Investor AllStars, and named a ‘Technology Pioneer’ at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2000.
Currently Sasha serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the following international companies: CarPrice, Jelastic, Octonion/PIQ, Parallels, PetCube and StarWind, and as Institute Advisor at the B612 Foundation.
Prior to Almaz Capital, Alexander made a series of successful private investments. His previous and current investments include: NavMaps (sold to TeleAtlas), Start Telecom, Magnifire, SJLabs, PGP, Parallels, Acronis and EverNote, among others.
Alexander founded five successful high-tech companies, ELVIS+, TrustWorks Systems (sold to Hamsard), EzWIM (sold to TMT Ventures), ELVIS Telecom (sold to Telenor) and NPC ELVIS, all of which he led as CEO.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Galitsky served as one of the top Technical Executives for the Soviet Space Agency and Defence Industry. He pioneered Wi-Fi and Virtual Private Network technologies, as well as product development on the global market in partnership with Sun Microsystems. He has over 30 patents for numerous inventions.
Alexander has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and holds a Master's degree in Physics.
Global CEO of Softline
Sergey Chernovolenko was born in 1965. He graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. Since 1997 he has been working in the IT industry. He has 25 years of experience in business, 20 years of which have been connected with IT. He was engaged in business development in many Russian and international companies and has 10 years of experience working in various countries. He was Director General of Xerox in Turkey for three years, led Xerox in 11 Eastern European countries including London, and worked at the headquarters of Xerox in London for two years. He was in charge of Xerox in Russia and the CIS for three and a half years. Sergey Chernovolenko was appointed as Global CEO of Softline in May 2018.

Roy is a highly accomplished senior manager and operations expert with over 30 years’ experience in a diverse and successful career with Xerox Ltd. Senior Vice President – Strategy & Marketing
Tom Maddison is a creative international business leader with a track record of delivering organization-wide improvements in the spheres of Strategy, Marketing, Finance and HR, as well as in building successful organizations.
Tom held a variety of positions in finance, operations, business services, marketing, and HR management. He served as Chief Human resources officer for Xerox Corporation, VP of Marketing and Strategy, VP of Organization Effectiveness, Director of Group Resources and Enterprise Marketing in the United Kingdom, and VP of Human Resources for Developing Markets Operations.
Among Tom’s key achievements, to mention just a few, there are business recovery programs that turn emerging market operations from the worst performing to the best performing, implementing marketing strategy and market engagement programs that lead to a growth of 120% in solutions revenue and gross profit, etc.
During his career he was worked in the USA, UK, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, Mexico, Latin America, Russia and India.
Tom is married and has a son and daughter. When not at work he enjoys sailing, skiing, cycling and has an interest in vernacular architecture.
Softline Vice President, Global Services, Solutions and Products
Since 2019, Andrew Morrison has been the Vice President of Softline Global Services responsible for building strategic relationships with vendors, providers and partners.
Andrew graduated from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in Engineering. He has over 20 years’ experience in IT and BPO services, leading Global and International business development, portfolio management, sales and supply chain management. From 2009 to 2014, he held executive positions at Xerox Global Services based in the USA, returning to Europe in 2014 to lead the European Services business for Xerox. More recently, he was Non-Executive Director for M4 Managed Services, a cyber security and digital transformation business, working primarily in the UK Public Sector.
Andrew is an expert in solution and service development together with implementation in large, mid-size and small companies. He has extensive experience in the Government, Financial, Manufacturing and Commercial sectors in Europe, USA and emerging markets, having led numerous global and international deployments and transformation projects.
Artem Tarakanov – Global CFO, responsible for the strategic and operational management of finance at Softline.
Artem graduated with honours from Moscow State University (named after M.V. Lomonosov) Faculty of Economics in 1997 with a Bachelor of Economics degree, major: financial management. In 1999, he achieved a Master of Science in Economics, major: accounting and financial analysis from Moscow State University, Faculty of Economics. He has been a member of ACCA since 2003. In 2009 he gained an MBA degree from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.
Artem has more than 20 years of professional experience, managing finance for large companies (Daimler, Cadbury, EuroChem, Walgreens Boots Alliance) in the Russian and international markets. Artem has a number of publications on the strategy of value creation for the company.

Get to know Elena
Elena Volotovskaya graduated from the Faculty of Global Economics of the State University of Management in Moscow. In 2006, she became a Ph.D. in Economics and continued her education at California State University, getting an MBA in 2008.
Today Elena is an investment guru with many years of experience in the field of M&A. She began her career at Softline as a Director for Institutional Investor Relations, and then founded the Softline Venture Partners Fund. The Fund amount is over USD $20 million, and its portfolio has over 15 projects. The Fund invests in cloud and SaaS, digital marketing, enterprise software, information security and e-commerce. Elena also runs the joint fund of Softline, and the RVC seed fund that makes seed investments in technology projects.
Elena not only runs these funds, but also devotes much time to social projects. She is a member of the Presidium of ‘OPORA RUSSIA’, as head of the Committee ‘OPORA RUSSIA’ on information technology. In 2013, Elena received the prestigious Venture Award 2013 in the category Venture Woman of the Year.
Elena is married and has two daughters. Sport and reading good books are an indispensable part of her life.
CEO Softline, Eastern Europe and Central Asia
Maxim’s education was dedicated to economics and business management. In 2000, he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Trade and Economic Institute, receiving a degree in economics specialising in accounting and auditing. In 2010, he graduated from the People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) with honours, receiving an MBA in Business Management.
He started working at Softline in 2005, holding the position of the Business Development Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. At that time, the company had already opened branches in Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The business relations of these countries with Russia, and an understanding of the local culture and economy, allowed the company to successfully establish the branches and gain a share in the local markets.
Under Maxim’s leadership, new branches were established in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Mongolia (2007), Armenia (2008), and Moldova (2010). Scaling global corporate expertise to new territories and relying on the best local employees and partners has helped Maxim make Softline a leader of the local IT markets.
Today, Maxim is in charge of 11 branches located in countries with different cultures and business customs. In every region, the company strives to adapt its solution portfolio, knowledge and expertise to the local background to become the top market player. Get to know Atul
An accidental visit in 1993 to an IT institute, to become a software engineer got Atul hooked on technology and from there on, it was technology all the way. He is a veteran of 22 years plus, in the Asia Pacific market, based in India. In his current role, Atul is expanding the footprint of the Softline Group in Asia with the responsibility for developing new markets and growing the business in Softline’s Asia businesses (India, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia).
From start-ups, to setting up new business units and developing markets for new technologies, his experiences with Microsoft Corporation, Citrix Systems, Tata Infotech has covered more than two decades of technology and many shifts from Y2K, to dot com to cloud and mobility and the latest buzz word of ‘digital’.
Atul, has been with Softline since October 2014, where he started the India office from scratch and is now growing the business in the rest of the Asia region.
Chief Technology Officer and Microsoft Alliance Vice President
Sergio is a 21-year IT and Telco Industries veteran, including a 14-year tenure at Microsoft, having worked in engineering, sales, consulting and business development roles. He also has experience as an entrepreneur and Microsoft Azure start-up founder.
Vice President of International Business Development
Evgeny chose a career in IT during his student years. His rich industry background originated at the Bauman Technical University in Moscow where he earned а Master’s in Computing and Aerial Vehicle Flight Automation. Later, he continued his studies at the Radioelectronics and Automation Academy in Moscow where he studied Electronics Design and Development.
Evgeny Tkachenko has worked in many IT companies over 15 years, eight of them in Softline. After five years as Corporate Sales Director, he switched to International Business Development. He spent a year in India playing an important role in Softline’s operations launch there. Currently Evgeny heads Softline in the USA and is also responsible for global partner relations with world leaders in software, hardware and cloud computing.
Evgeny is married with three children.

Zoltan has spent his entire professional life in IT sales and business development. He gained his IT experience mainly from Microsoft. His international business development experiences are from the Telco and IT fields. Zoltan joined Softline in 2018 as General Manager for the EE region (currently Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria).
Vice President, Brazil
Eduardo is an experienced executive with more than 20 years of experience in IT companies. His track record shows consistent business focus, people development and strong networking with main IT leaders and customers. Eduardo joined Softline in May 2018 with the mission of extending the portfolio, mainly services offerings, and expanding the customer base, bringing fast growth to revenue and contribution margins.
Managing Director, Turkey
Erdal is a very experienced and seasoned Softliner. He has been with the company for more than 10 years and has always shown great commitment and loyalty. He started to work in Softline in 2008 as Sales Director. He was in charge of building the team of account managers and was responsible for Softline business development in Turkey as a whole. After working for three years in this field he was promoted to CEO at Softline Turkey.

Sebastian has 20 years of experience in the IT business. He has worked in business development for many international companies. Before joining Softline, he worked for such companies as Microsoft, HP and Pixel Solutions, where he achieved outstanding results. Sebastian has been working in Softline for more than five years and was appointed to the role of Vice President LATAM in September 2019.
Global CMO Softline
Elena graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics. She has an MBA degree in Marketing. She has been working in the IT industry since 1993 and has over 25 years’ experience in marketing.
Elena worked in companies such as GIS-Association, Open Technologies, Verysell Group and Jet Infosystems. She joined Softline in 2016 as Marketing Director for Russia, and currently holds the position of Global Marketing Director for all the countries in which the company operates. She manages a team of over 130 employees.
Elena’s hobbies include sports, travel, psychology, unexplored mysteries of the world and scientific discoveries. Elena is keen on body biomechanics and TRX suspension training. She believes that workouts not only help one stay fit but also offer a great way to relieve stress and replenish creative energy.
Director of the Product and Technology Expertise Development Directorate
Alexander was born in 1979. He graduated from MATI – Russian State Technological University and holds a Ph.D. in information technology and computer science. Mr Rozhkov has been working in the IT industry since 2002.
He started his career at Softline, where he was responsible for the development of data and application availability solutions, as well as virtualisation products. In 2006, to gain experience in an international company, he moved to Symantec, where he rose from key partner manager to director of the partner and commercial sales department for Russia and CIS countries. In 2015, he returned to Softline as Director of Sales of Products and Services in Russia. Since 2017, he has been responsible for Softline’s global business development and strategic partnership with the world's leading software and hardware companies.
Alexander is married. He has two children. He loves travel and sports.
Global Chief Compliance Officer Softline Group
Gareth is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in IT and telecommunications, operating at board level across a range of public and private sector organisations. He is a powerful advocate for responsible corporate governance with in-depth knowledge of designing, implementing and managing effective risk frameworks, ethics and compliance programmes and systems of corporate governance.
Gareth has held various positions at BT plc from 2004 to 2020, the most recent being a seven-year tenure as Group Director, Ethics, Compliance and Governance. Gareth has also served as Board Director at BT Law and EE. He has previously held positions at the Department for Work and Pensions, General Motors and Thomas Cook, among others. Gareth is also Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
Gareth has a proven track record in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions and large-scale transformational change programmes. He has a pragmatic and motivational leadership style consistent with delivering excellent results, whilst maintaining an environment based on honesty, trust and professional integrity.
Director of Innovation Projects
Svetlana graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Mathematical Modeling Department). She has a Ph.D. in Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Ms. Ilyicheva has been working at Softline since 2000. She is responsible for e-commerce development, the automation of subscription and cloud business, and the development of proprietary products. She also supervises Softline Digital divisions including Custom Development, Data Analysis and Softline Digital Lab.
Head of Cloud department
Sergey graduated from Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics in 2007. He holds MBA (marketing and sales) and EMBA degrees.
Sergey started his IT career at Softline in 2005 as a project manager. He has been the Director of Cloud Solutions since 2010. Thanks to the work of Sergey and his team, Softline has become a leading provider of cloud solutions in Russia, ranking first on the list in Cnews: Largest IaaS Providers in Russia and second in Cnews: Largest SaaS Providers in Russia. Our own cloud solution, Softline Cloud, was developed and launched under his leadership. Now Sergey manages a team of 50+ people.
A married man with two children, Sergey enjoys active leisure like kitesurfing, snowboarding and running.

Director of Microsoft Business Department
Andrey graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2001. In 2008-2009 he also studied at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics under the Partnership Program for Management Training.
Andrey joined Softline in 2006. Since then he has launched Oracle corporate sales, the strategy of integrated project sales and the global alliances strategy. He has also introduced the Miller Heiman methodology in the company and started the Strategic Projects Management Department. Since 2018, when he was promoted to his current position, Andrey has been focusing on the global growth of Microsoft business. Thanks to the work of Andrey and his team, Softline has become the most important Microsoft Partner in Russia and EECA countries, and a global Microsoft Partner. His recent achievements include work with Microsoft under the three-year AGI plan, the launch of Azure Global Delivery Center in Noida, India, and the launch of Premier Services.
Andrey is married and has four children. He loves the outdoors and active leisure including hillwalking and water tourism. Keen on diverse sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding and yoga, Andrey has a rank of third-class sportsman in mountaineering. Last year he took part in the Ironman Triathlon race with his colleagues.
