Softline and Simpl are pooling their expertise to drive the digital transformation of industry in international markets
The partners are building a technology partnership focused on HSE and the digitalization of production processes, combining industrial IT delivery experience with international expertise and a presence in Middle Eastern markets.
Softline Global and Simpl, a Russian developer of industrial IT solutions, are expanding their collaboration in industrial safety digitalisation, contractor management and operational risk management. The partnership aims to broaden the companies’ capabilities in international markets and to provide industrial enterprises with comprehensive solutions that combine technological expertise with an understanding of local market requirements.
The collaboration began with a meeting between Artem Shilyaev, Head of International Sales at Simpl, and Evgeny Kurtukov, Softline’s Regional Director for the MENA region, at the GITEX Global international technology exhibition in Dubai. During their discussions, the parties identified promising areas for collaboration, including the digitalisation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) processes and the implementation of electronic permit-to-work (e-PTW) systems at industrial sites.
The partnership addresses growing demand among industrial companies for an integrated approach to safety and operational efficiency. For companies in the oil and gas, metallurgical, energy and other sectors, transparency in dealings with contractors, timely preparation for work, control of operational risks and the reduction of delays associated with multi-stage approval processes are of particular importance.
At the heart of this technological collaboration are the Simpl HSE digital platform and the Simpl e-PTW solution. These enable risk assessment, contractor induction, work authorisation, activity monitoring and auditing to be integrated within a single digital environment. This helps organisations improve control over production processes, ensure traceability of decisions and reduce administrative burden without compromising safety.
The partnership combines the complementary strengths of both parties. Simpl contributes proprietary software and practical experience in the digitalisation of industrial safety processes at large manufacturing sites. Softline provides an international infrastructure for engaging with clients, knowledge of regional markets and expertise in managing complex technology projects. Working together enables the solutions to be tailored to the specific needs of individual enterprises and to take into account the requirements of their production and IT infrastructure.
The collaboration has already moved into the implementation phase: the teams have conducted joint pre-sales activities and worked through the technical and commercial requirements of industrial clients. The first commercial outcome was an order from an industrial company in the UAE for the initial phase of the joint project. The partners are currently making the organisational preparations for its launch.
“Entering international industrial markets requires not only a robust technological solution, but also a deep understanding of how local businesses operate. For Simpl, the partnership with Softline represents an opportunity to apply our accumulated expertise in neapprow regions, adapt our technologies to the needs of overseas clients, and adopt best international practices. We are already seeing tangible results from our collaboration and view this partnership as the foundation for the further development of international projects,” said Artem Shilyaev, Head of International Sales at Simpl.
Evgeny Kurtukov, Softline’s Regional Director for the MENA region, shares his partner’s vision: “In the MENA region, industrial companies are now moving on from experimenting with digital tools to seeking solutions that have a real impact on operational resilience and the quality of management decisions. This is precisely why the partnership between Softline and Simpl focuses on integrating the platform into an enterprise’s day-to-day industrial safety processes. The technological maturity of the Simpl HSE and e-PTW platforms, proven at large industrial sites, is complemented in our collaboration by Softline’s ability to manage the customer relationship from initial contact through to project support, aligning technical capabilities with the organisation’s real-world business objectives. Early feedback confirms the demand for this approach, and we are continuing our work in this direction.” Softline and Simpl are pooling their expertise to drive the digital transformation of industry in international markets

The next area of collaboration will be the development of a presence in the markets of the UAE and other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).The companies plan to expand their cooperation with industrial enterprises, exchange industry best practices and develop joint thought-leadership and marketing initiatives. Separately, opportunities to apply the experience gained in Central Asian markets are being explored.
For Softline and Simpl, the partnership lays the foundation for long-term international collaboration, in which their respective technologies, practical experience in delivering industrial projects and regional expertise complement one another, helping customers to enhance the safety, efficiency and sustainability of their production operations.
