Situation
NovaTech is a supplier of agricultural equipment for customers in Volgograd, Samara, Astrakhan, and Saratov regions and the North Caucasus Federal District. NovaTech has more than a hundred employees in six cities of Russia and has offices in six regions. Due to business expansion and an increase in the number of employees, the company needed to review its IT strategy. A fault-tolerant and scalable solution was required to ensure the uninterrupted operation of a resource-demanding 1C application. The customer considered buying more powerful server hardware or switching to cloud hosting. As a result, NovaTech chose the cloud because of its unlimited scalability.
Solution
Softline was chosen as the provider. The company offered computing resources in its own VMware-based cloud hosted in a Tier III data center in Moscow. Moreover, Softline provided email services for 100+ employees as part of the Virtual Office service. As a result, NovaTech received a fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure with guaranteed hardware performance and 24x7 technical support.
Results
"We provided the customer with cloud capacities, which can then be flexibly scaled according to the pace of business growth. The pay-per-use model with monthly billing allows us to forecast expenses and plan the IT budget efficiently," says Dmitry Kravchenko, Head of Regional Cloud Services at Softline.
"By moving to the cloud, we have saved on hardware upgrade and server equipment maintenance. By deploying 1C and email in the cloud, our company has improved the performance of these solutions and provided employees with uninterrupted access to them from all offices," says Andrei Efimov, Head of the IT Department at NovaTech.
