Softline Attains Accreditation to Offer Services Through the Microsoft Software Asset Management Managed Service Program
4 september, 2018
Softline announced that they have been approved by Microsoft® as one of a select group of Microsoft partners to provide services through the Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program in the Russia, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, SEA New Markets.
The Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is designed to provide a continual, governance-based outsourced service, through Accredited Providers, to help customers more effectively manage their software assets. By introducing customers to SAM best practices, tools, and resources, while providing a complete view of their infrastructure, the program is designed to help drive real time IT decisions throughout all software and related asset lifecycle management.
Customers who work with approved partners for the program, such as Softline, can receive unique Microsoft benefits, such as a reduced risk of audit, a fresh start with their Microsoft licensing, and direct contact with Microsoft teams that can provide flexible licensing solutions. Customers will also receive continuous consultation on product end-of-life guidance and Microsoft SAM Optimization Model (SOM) maturity, and at least one strategic consultation from their Accredited Provider such as a cybersecurity or cloud-ready consultation and roadmap.
To ensure the highest quality of service, only Microsoft partners who have passed a rigorous assessment based on industry standards (ISO 19770) and the Microsoft SOM can become Accredited Providers and offer services through the Program.
Accredited Providers are required to meet comprehensive initial eligibility criteria, followed by a rigorous assessment and accreditation process performed by an independent third-party evaluator (EY or PwC). The assessment evaluates the partner’s ability to provide the high-quality services required by the Program, verifies that the Microsoft Software Optimization Model (SOM) and ISO 19770 industry standards are met, and that the partner is able to provide SAM consultation services such as Cybersecurity or Clould Productivity reviews.
The Program requires that all Accredited Providers undergo an annual re-assessment to ensure they remain accredited and qualified based on Program requirements.
“Softline has become the first Russian company with the Microsoft SAM Managed Service certified partner status, which opens broad perspectives in the IT market. We change our client relationship model, moving from performing projects to rendering services. Signing service contracts, continuous project management, and timely response to technical requests are the main elements of our strategy, and the status that we received proves its effectiveness. Softline wants to become a SAM technology leader, and to achieve this goal, it offers clients new licensing program efficiency assessment and software asset optimization scenarios, relying on Microsoft expertise,” says Vladimir Razuvaev, Head of Business Consulting Department, Softline.
“Partners who have become Accredited Providers in the Program have passed a rigorous assessment by an independent evaluator and have proven they can provide the high-quality services required by the Program. Softline has worked hard to achieve this status and Microsoft is excited to have customers benefit from their level of expertise,” said Patama Chantaruck, General Manager - Worldwide Software Asset Management and Compliance at Microsoft.
